Wedge Wire Screen – Filtration & Dewatering

Wedge wire screen (also called V‑wire or profile wire screen) is a high‑strength, all‑metal screening and filtration medium made by winding or arranging triangular‑shaped (wedge) wires and welding them to support rods. The continuous slot openings formed between the wires provide precise, non‑clogging filtration with high open area and mechanical strength.

Usually manufactured from stainless steel 304, 304L, 316, 316L or special alloys, wedge wire screens offer excellent corrosion, wear and temperature resistance. They are available as cylinders, tubes, sieve bends, flat panels, baskets and nozzles, with accurately controlled slot sizes from microns to several millimeters. The V‑shaped openings ensure that particles are retained on the surface while fines pass through, reducing plugging and simplifying backwashing.
